The Role:

The purpose of this role is to support internal and external stakeholders by coordinating design, scheduling, construction activities, quality oversight, cost management, and documentation collation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager, Site Manager and wider team to ensure the full project scope of works are successfully implemented.

  • Implement, manage and monitor QA procedures and the document control system. Manage and control submittals, RFIs and information flow.

  • Implement manage and control the Inspection and Test Plans.

  • Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors, including meetings and workshops as required.

  • Liaise with Evara supervisors, planners, in house quantity surveyors in reviewing monthly valuations.

  • Perform technical verification of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings.

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.

  • Provide technical advice to the project team.

  • Manage and coordinate Site Engineers.

  • Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics.

  • Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports.

  • Use of AutoCAD and Revit essential for technical analysis and uploading as-builts as the project progresses.

  • Ensure quality control measures on the site are implemented and are in line with the overall BCAR plan for the project.

  • Build relationships with the Evara team members and our supply chain to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained to the highest possible.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Relevant third-level degree in Engineering.

  • 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on high density residential or commercial developments with tier one/ two contractors, or self-delivery developers.

  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

  • Project experience on civil engineering works, including roads, drainage, utilities, and site development.

  • Proficient in dimensional controls and in the use of GPS, robotic total stations, and levelling equipment.

  • Excellent IT skills, with knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft Office and document control systems such as Procore.

  • Has a good awareness of the project specifications, in particular tolerances for vertical and horizontal structural elements 

  • In depth knowledge of the BCAR process, specific to high density residential projects.

  • Competent in best practices for quality control, can create and manage inspection and test plans, manage defects and non-conformance, remedial works management and along with the Site Manager, instil and improve upon QC processes to reduce/eliminate defective workmanship.

  • Proficient and experienced in Uisce Eierann QC processes and procedures and in the collation of the UE Safety File.

  • Proficient in the management of local authority and utility provider permits.

  • Competent in the coordination and management of temporary works.

  • Self-motivated and hard worker with the ability to work on own initiative.

  • Good knowledge of project budgets and controls.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
